Luke’s Natura 1600 Film - Free Lightroom Preset
I’ve been working on a Lightroom preset inspired by Fujifilm Natura 1600. I can’t exactly describe what draws me to the colors of this film stock, but I’ve been enamored by it recently. I generally don’t like green tints in my images, but Natura 1600 seems to render them in a pleasant way. With the price of film sky-rocketing, and the used camera market being as hot as it is, I thought it was time to make a free preset to give people the vibes of some classic films without the expense.
ColorMax Film - Free Lightroom Preset
ColorMax Film is a free preset for Adobe Lightroom users. The colors are rich and vibrant without being oversaturated. The contrast is slightly lowered. The overall look is punchy and playfully colorful.
Fuji Color Negative Film- Preset for Lightroom
Lately, I’ve been trying out some of the internet’s free presets for Adobe Lightroom, especially those that use “Fujifilm” like colors. Some of them have been delightful, but most of them haven’t fit my editing style, so I decided to create my own. My preset is called Fuji Color Negative Film. It takes some inspiration from the Negative Film picture profile built into the Ricoh GR III.
Fujifilm Cool Chrome Film- Free Preset for Lightroom
Another day of experimenting in Lightroom has brought forth another preset for your enjoyment. This preset was originally named Guam 200, because many of the photos were taken on the island of Guam, but I renamed it for the sake of SEO and search friendliness. This preset is slightly desaturated with medium contrast. I also adjusted a few of the tone curves, adding magenta to the shadows and a bit of yellow to the highlights.

Hello all! Enjoy this new Ricoh GR III Recipe! This film simulation works with the GR III and the GR IIIx. Today’s new Ricoh GR III Recipe is called Retro Chrome 1600. All of the sample images are SOOC (straight-out-of-camera) JPEG images and the colors were not altered in any way.
Luke’s Kodak ColorPlus 200 - Free Preset for Lightroom
The other day I came across some sample photos from a film stock I had never explored, Kodak ColorPlus 200. I found the photos on Lomography’s website and really liked them. Kodak’s own website appears to have forgotten the film stock. All we know is that it was a color negative film based on old VR films. In this article you’ll find a link to my free Lightroom preset based off ColorPlus.
Kodak Film Overexposed - Free Preset for Lightroom
Recently, I was trying to make a preset that would match Kodak Color Plus 200. I never got to my final destination because I got distracted by a few colors I liked in my experimenting. The final result of my rabbit hole is Kodak Film Overexposed, which is featured in this article. The preset is available for free download and can be used with Adobe Lightroom.

The preset is free and I hope you enjoy using it, tweaking it, and making it your own. This preset can be applied to RAW or JPEG photos from any camera.
Luke’s Kodak Ektachrome 1600 - Film Simulation for Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx
Bonjour everyone! Enjoy this new Ricoh GR III Recipe! This film simulation works with the GR III and the GR IIIx.
Today’s new Ricoh GR III Recipe is called Luke’s Kodak Ektachrome 1600
This is the first film simulation where I’ve experimented with setting a manual ISO value. As you probably guessed, that value is ISO 1600. The elevated ISO certainly kept my shutter speeds high.
Sigma FP / FP L - Sunset Red Color Mode Review
For those of us who like to experiment with color, Sigma offers 15+ built in Color Modes for JPEGs and video. I’ve been testing these Color Modes and posting my sample shots here for other people who may be interested in the Sigma FP series. This week I used Sigma’s “Sunset Red.” I was able to take photos in a variety of conditions. I had a few sunny days and a few overcast days, which was helpful in ascertaining how this Color Mode performs in the varying elements.
Sigma FP / FP L - Orange and Teal Color Mode Review
The Sigma FP and FP L feature an Orange and Teal Color Mode that is genuinely impressive. Orange and Teal has long been a favorite of photographers and cinematographers, and now Sigma has brought an offering to the table. This review provides sample photographs to show why I think Sigma’s Orange and Teal picture profile is one of the best around.
Sigma FP / FP L - Monochrome Color Mode Review
This is my 4rd article reviewing the Color Modes on the Sigma FP and FP L cameras. These cameras feature 15+ color modes which can be used when shooting JPEG and video. Previously, I reviewed “Warm Gold,” “Powder Blue,” and “FOV Classic Yellow” all of which I really enjoyed. This article is my take on Sigma’s “Monochrome” offering.

Kodak Magenta Chrome - Film Simulation for Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx
I’m back this week with another Ricoh GR III (and GR IIIx) film simulations. In my never ending pursuit to create a Kodak Portra 400 recipe, I was doing some experimenting, and came up with what I’m calling Kodak Magenta Chrome. Admittedly, the recipe isn’t that close to Porta, but that is ok.
Pastel Film 400 - Film Recipe for Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx
This is a new film simulation for the Ricoh GR III (and GR IIIx). I created Pastel Film 400 using the pre-installed Negative Film Preset. It features low contrast and mid-high saturation. My favorite thing about this film recipe is how it renders blue colors. Blues are captured in a pastel pallet. Deeper blues are lightened, bringing an overall softness to the images.
Arabian Days - Free Preset
Enjoy this free preset named Arabian Days, which you can download on my website. The preset can be used with any camera’s RAW files or JPEGs. Most of the sample photos for this gallery were made with the Ricoh GR III.
Natural Analog - Film Simulation for Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx
This is a new film simulation for the Ricoh GR III (and GR IIIx). You can install the preset settings into your Ricoh and shoot JPEGs with a similar look. Interestingly, you can also use these recipes as LUTs. Although I don’t recommend the Ricoh GR for video, it can be nice in a pinch. The recipes act as LUTs when the Ricoh is put into video mode. This film simulation was created using the famous Positive Film picture profile. I dropped the saturation and the contrast and over-exposed the images a bit more than the standard profile. I’m calling this simulation Natural Analog.
Magic Film 800 - Free Preset
Enjoy this free preset named Magic Film 800, which you download on my website. The preset can be used with any camera’s RAW files or JPEGs. Most of the sample photos for this gallery were made with the Ricoh GR III.
