Red Classic Chrome - Film Simulation for Fujifilm Cameras
Red Classic Chrome - A Rouge Edition of the Classic Film Simulation for Fujifilm Cameras
Lately, I’ve been curious about the effect of changing just one variable of a previous recipe to see the new results. This recipe is a white balance modified version of my last film simulation, Classic Chrome V2. This recipe shifts things away from the greens and towards the reds and purples.
Using my Fujifilm X-H2, I hit the streets of Vlore, Albania for my test photos.
I really like the results I’ve gotten from this new Red Chrome recipe. I don’t love it quiet as much as my Classic Chrome V2 recipe, but the images have a unique charm of their own. I would love to have more chances to photograph with this recipe during the summer to see how flowers and leaves are rendered. It’s winter right now and there isn’t much foliage.
You’ll notice I blew out the highlights on a few of the photos. I like the look. The highlights have a nice golden glow to them.
I probably won’t use this recipe as an everyday option, but it will stay in my rotation when I need a little creative variety.
The example images included in this post are SOOC (straight out of camera) JPEGs and the colors have not been edited in post. I don’t edit the photos because I want to give my readers realistic expectations of what they can expect from the recipe.
