Indigo Film 800 - New Film Simulation for Ricoh GR III and GR IIIx

This week I returned to my kitchen to cook up another Ricoh GR III film recipe. After some trial and error, I was able to put together something I was pleased with, and I proceeded to photograph with it the rest of the week.

Below you will see my results in daylight and in low-light. I’m calling the recipe Indigo Film 800.

Indigo Film 800 is built on Ricoh’s pre-installed Retro picture profile and adds a strong dose of saturation and sharpness. The final recipe features a slight white balance shift towards the cooler colors, slightly favoring the blues and magentas.

You can find the recipe below. If you don’t know how to input a film recipe into your Ricoh GR III, I wrote and article and created a video explaining the process.

I’ve made the film recipe free as a way to give back to the Ricoh community. I hope you enjoy it. If you try the recipe and upload to Instagram, tag your photos #RicohFilmRecipes… I would love to see your work!

Enjoy!
