The Sigma FP vs. Fujifilm x100VI, Don’t be a Sheeple
Look, we all know the Fujifilm x100VI is going to be a great camera. It gives consumers exactly what they’ve been asking for, and the pre-orders are the proof. But don’t you want to be different? You don’t want to be exactly like everyone else, do you? If the answer is “no” let me suggest an alternative route, the Sigma FP and FP L.
Sigma FP / FP L - Sunset Red Color Mode Review
For those of us who like to experiment with color, Sigma offers 15+ built in Color Modes for JPEGs and video. I’ve been testing these Color Modes and posting my sample shots here for other people who may be interested in the Sigma FP series. This week I used Sigma’s “Sunset Red.” I was able to take photos in a variety of conditions. I had a few sunny days and a few overcast days, which was helpful in ascertaining how this Color Mode performs in the varying elements.
Sigma FP / FP L - Orange and Teal Color Mode Review
The Sigma FP and FP L feature an Orange and Teal Color Mode that is genuinely impressive. Orange and Teal has long been a favorite of photographers and cinematographers, and now Sigma has brought an offering to the table. This review provides sample photographs to show why I think Sigma’s Orange and Teal picture profile is one of the best around.
Sigma FP / FP L - Monochrome Color Mode Review
This is my 4rd article reviewing the Color Modes on the Sigma FP and FP L cameras. These cameras feature 15+ color modes which can be used when shooting JPEG and video. Previously, I reviewed “Warm Gold,” “Powder Blue,” and “FOV Classic Yellow” all of which I really enjoyed. This article is my take on Sigma’s “Monochrome” offering.
Sigma FP / FP L - Foveon Classic Yellow Color Mode Review
The Sigma FP and FP L offer 15+ color modes, which can be used for still photography and videography. This is my review of the Foveon (FOV) Classic Yellow picture profile. I find it to be a great everyday profile for those who like warm colors.
Sigma FP / FP L - Powder Blue Color Mode Review
This is my review of Sigma’s Powder Blue color mode. Sigma’s color science, their compact FP cameras, and their robust color mode library convinced me to purchase a Sigma FP and a 45mm f/2.8 DG DN. I’ve long suspected the FP has a lot of still photography potential, and now it’s time to put it to the test. Over the next few weeks, I’m planning to test out the color modes (film simulations) on the Sigma FP and FP L.
