Kodak Portra 400 - Free Preset
This week I’m releasing a free Lightroom preset modelled after the famous film stock Kodak Portra 400. The preset is my interpretation of the famous Portra colors. The preset is free and I hope you enjoy using it, tweaking it, and making it your own. This preset can be applied to RAW or JPEG photos from any camera.
Most of these sample photos were taken on the Ricoh GR III, Olympus e-m1 mark ii, and my old faithful Sony a7r.
Just so you know, I didn’t edit the colors of the photos after applying the preset in Lightroom. I know many people use presets as a base layer before editing their photos further, but it was important to me to create the preset in a way that was as close to a film recipe as possible. You can achieve a similar look by applying this preset to all of your photos and immediately exporting, no further editing required.
